Brideshead Revisited

Brideshead Revisited is my favourite TV series of all time, bar none.
Even though it dates from the eighties it doesn’t look or feel dated at all. The series, which is based on Evelyn Waugh's classic novel, tells a story of romantic yearning and loss in the glittering but fading world of the British aristocracy between the wars.
Jeremy Irons stars in what must be his best role ever as Charles Ryder, the artistically inclined somewhat dreamy friend of the flamboyant Sebastian (portrayed by Anthony Andrews), a bratty but oh! so charming high society number. The cinematography and costume design are mind blowing.

After watching the series, I went to visit Castle Howard, in Yorkshire, where Brideshead is set and started to say “luncheon” instead of “lunch” for a while.. I think it's time for me to revisit this master piece!
Have a good day guys!
